The Amazon

     Everyone knows it, or at least has heard of it before in their life. The “it” is the famous Amazon rainforest. Brazil holds approximately 60% of the Amazon within its own borders. The Amazon has an area of 2,300,000 square miles. They also have the world’s largest river basin, along with other record breaking accomplishments. Unfortunately more recently the Amazon size has been decreasing due to various harmful problems including wildfires. But why visit the Amazon you may ask? Well the Amazon is filled with different species, some rare and hard finds! The spread of animals is amazing from different species of insects, plants, birds, and other varied animals. The vast rainforest is home to animals like monkeys, jaguars, manatees, tapir, red deer, and best of all capybaras!! The Amazon is an amazing place to visit more because of the astonishing landmarks and culture.
